Aquila Under-Eye Cream — The Medical-Grade 5-in-1 Formula That Restores the Eye Area

If your current eye cream isn't delivering visible results, the issue almost certainly comes down to formulation depth. Most eye creams — even premium ones — are built around basic hydration, with perhaps one supporting active. That approach addresses the surface, but it misses the biology.

The under-eye area is the most structurally complex zone on the face, presenting three distinct and simultaneous challenges: vascular, fluid-based, and structural. Dark circles are primarily caused by haemoglobin from fragile periorbital capillaries breaking down into blue-black pigment compounds (bilirubin, biliverdin) that are visible through the exceptionally thin, translucent skin beneath the eye. Puffiness develops when lymphatic drainage is impaired and weakened capillary walls allow interstitial fluid to accumulate. And fine lines deepen as collagen and elastin break down in skin that's already the thinnest and most mechanically stressed on the face.

The Aquila Under-Eye Cream was formulated to address all three — simultaneously — with a clinically proven 5-in-1 active complex and a supporting botanical matrix that restores as it corrects.

Caffeine — Circulation, Depuffing, and Vascular Targeting

Caffeine is one of the most extensively validated ingredients in periorbital skincare. As a methylxanthine, it acts as a vasoconstrictor — temporarily tightening dilated blood vessels beneath the eye to reduce the pooling of blood that contributes to dark circles. It simultaneously stimulates lymphatic drainage, reducing the interstitial fluid accumulation responsible for puffiness and morning infraorbital oedema. Applied consistently, Caffeine progressively improves microcirculation in the fragile capillary network surrounding the eye.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) — Brightening and Capillary Reinforcement

Niacinamide is one of the few topical actives with demonstrated benefit across multiple skin concerns simultaneously. In the eye area specifically, it reinforces the capillary wall structure that, when weakened, allows haemoglobin to leak into surrounding tissue — one of the root causes of vascular dark circles. Niacinamide also inhibits the transfer of melanin-containing melanosomes to surrounding keratinocytes, brightening existing pigmentation. And its anti-inflammatory properties reduce the chronic low-grade inflammation that accelerates periorbital aging.

The Dark Circle Complex: N-Hydroxysuccinimide + Chrysin

This is the combination that distinguishes Aquila from almost every other eye cream formulated without specific vascular dark circle targeting. N-Hydroxysuccinimide is a chelating agent that works in concert with Chrysin — a flavonoid derived from passion flower — to enzymatically break down haemoglobin degradation products in the periorbital tissue. These compounds (primarily bilirubin and biliverdin) are the actual blue-black pigments behind vascular dark circles, and they cannot be addressed by brightening agents like Vitamin C or Niacinamide alone. The N-Hydroxysuccinimide / Chrysin system targets them at the molecular level — dissolving the pigment accumulation that makes dark circles appear even when skin is well-rested and hydrated.

The Triple Peptide Complex: Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Tripeptide-1, and Tetrapeptide-7

The collagen and elastin rebuilding system in Aquila is composed of three synergistic palmitoyl peptides, each targeting a different dimension of periorbital structural aging.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 is a biomimetic peptide that mimics the body's natural tissue-repair signal, Thrombospondin-1, which activates TGF-β — the primary growth factor responsible for initiating collagen production. This mechanism allows the peptide to stimulate collagen synthesis through the body's own signalling pathway rather than through external mechanical action. Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 (Matrixyl) stimulates collagen Type I and III synthesis, as well as fibronectin and hyaluronic acid production, at the dermal fibroblast level — physically rebuilding the extracellular matrix that gives the under-eye area its firmness and structure. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 reduces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines (particularly Interleukin-6) that degrade collagen and accelerate visible aging in the periorbital zone — functioning as both an anti-inflammatory and a structural preservation agent.

Together, this triple peptide system is clinically demonstrated to decrease the formation of fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area by 45% through stimulation of extracellular matrix molecules.

Dual Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate + Sodium Hyaluronate

Standard eye creams contain a single hyaluronic acid source. Aquila contains two, with complementary molecular weights. Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate — a lower-molecular-weight form — penetrates below the surface of the skin to hydrate the deeper dermal layers and fill fine lines from within. Sodium Hyaluronate — a larger-molecule form — remains at the surface, forming a protective moisture-sealing film that prevents transepidermal water loss and provides immediate visible plumping. Together, they deliver full-thickness hydration across both the epidermal and dermal layers of the thin periorbital skin.

The Restorative Support Complex

Aquila doesn't only correct — it restores. A comprehensive supporting complex works alongside the active system: Allantoin and Panthenol (Vitamin B5) soothe and promote healing in reactive or sensitised periorbital skin; Darutoside delivers targeted anti-oedema support to reduce puffiness at the tissue level; a marine algae complex (Harpoon Weed, Green Algae, Seaweed) provides antioxidant and mineral-rich conditioning; Golden Chamomile Extract (Chrysanthellum Indicum) delivers anti-inflammatory benefit to calm the sensitive eye area; Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) provides antioxidant protection; and Avocado Oil and Grape Seed Oil contribute nourishing lipids to support barrier integrity.

Light-diffusing Titanium Dioxide minerals are also included, providing immediate optical correction of dark circles on the first application — so results begin visually on day one while the longer-acting actives build their cumulative effects.
